Lashonda Hubbard is an accomplished entrepreneur with successful businesses and a non-profit of which she is the CEO. Lashonda was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA and grew up in a loving family. To this day she holds on to the morals and values that were instilled by her grandmother Mrs. Armstrong and her Mother Mrs. Sule. Her grandmother and mother impressed upon herstrong leadership skills and told her to always rely on Jesus. Although, coming from a loving family, it didn’t exclude her from experiencing the systematic adversities of the inner city.
Lashonda was exposed to children with disabilities when she was a teenager. Lashonda had a friend whose son was diagnosed with encephalitis, which is inflammation of the active tissues in the brain caused by an infection. Lashonda helped her friend by caring for her son. Caring for her friend’s son gave Lashonda a sense of compassion and a heart for children with developmental disabilities.
Lashonda began her career working with children with developmental disabilities and visually impaired as a school bus driver. Lashonda became an entrepreneur by opening a preschool, then homes for individuals with disabilities and consulting. Lashonda's career expands over 30 years’ working with individuals who have developmental disabilities.
Although Lashonda is a proud business owner and wife her greatest accomplishment is holding on to her Christian faith, which her grandmother and mother impressed upon her. Giving back and helping those who are considered outcast of society is imperative to Lashonda. Currently Lashonda is an ordained minister with a Dr. of Divinity designation and Life Coach certification as well as CEO of One Step One Change Foundation. Lashonda believes with Christ All Things Are Possible.
